
Cervia is
a well-known and international seaside resort with an ancient
touristic experience. In the historical centre You can visit
the Cathedral, Garibaldi Square, the Town Hall, the Bishop's
Palace, St. Michael's Tower and the old Salt Warehouses. The
pinewood on the north is an ideal place to have a walk or a
ride by bycicle. Beautiful and smart shops are situated in the
main streets of the town. Cervia offers a wide range of sport
facilities including the Tourist Harbour, the Riding Club, the
Sailing Club, the Golf Club (18 holes), the Athletic Centre
and the various tennis courts and fishing lakes.The ancient
pre-historic salt works, still in operation, now supply the
modern thermal baths with the precious waters and mud for the
treatment of arthritic and rheumatic ailments.The Tourist Service
organizes some very important music events, painting displays
and international sport races.

RAVENNA
Ravenna is a city unique in the world. CESENA THE CITY OF THE MALATESTA FAMILY
Cesena occupies a vast territory from the foothills of Savio River Valley to the Adriatic Coast and from the first offshoots of the Tuscany-Romagna Apennines down to the plains between Ravenna and Forlì. Cesena is of Umbrian and Etruscan origins and reached its peak under the rule of the Malatesta family (1378-1465). The current aspect of the old town centre dates back to this period as does the Ancient Library where you will find well-preserved Manuscripts. In the old town centre is located The Fortress one of the most impressive of the region. From there you will see the Adriatic Sea and a wonderful panorama.

Here you will find The Museum of Palazzo Pubblico; at first in the neogothic style, this Romanesque building has been built over the foundations of the original 'Parva Domus Comunis'. Not to miss is the 'changing of the guard' ceremony of The Uniformed Guards of the Fortress the 'changing of the guard' ceremony performing honour service at the Palazzo Pubblico in Piazza della Libertà, the ceremony takes place every hour on the half hour from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the summer months. Worth visiting is also The Museo di Stato, this museum holds archaeological and artistic testimony of the history and legend of the Republic of San Marino.
